Quizlet is a powerful vocabulary tool for both teaching and learning. Teachers can build sets of vocabulary and then share those with students for learning. In the classroom, the set can be used as flashcards to teach or elicit words. Cards can include visuals to stimulate interest. Sets can be practiced through various tools such as 'speller' and 'tests'. The Quizlet app is available for mobile devices.
Padlet is essentially a digital wall that can be shared with others and used to collaborate on. It probably helps to think of it as a whiteboard in cyberspace. People with the link can access the wall and double-click anywhere to post something. It's as simple as giving your post a title/name and then writing what you'd like to say. Links, images and documents can also be shared by simply posting them on the wall. A Padlet wall is the perfect digital brainstorming platform, the place to collaborate on a story, or to collect research. There is also a handy Google Chrome extension that allows you to quickly post a useful website to your wall.
